about this tool
A calendar to print
Pick what you need and download it as a PDF, ready to print:
- One month — a page with a box for every day, big enough to write in, and ruled lines for notes underneath.
- Every month — the same for all twelve months of a year, in one twelve-page PDF.
- Year on a page — all twelve months on one sheet, for a wall or the front of a planner.
The preview shows the page exactly as the PDF draws it. To print, open the PDF and print at 100% or "actual size", not "fit to page", so the margins stay as drawn.
Options
- Week starts on Monday, as in the UK and most of Europe, or on Sunday, as most calendars in India and the US are printed.
- Paper: A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape. The PDF is made at exactly that size.
- Lines for notes under each month, for birthdays, deadlines and holidays.
- Week numbers: ISO 8601 weeks, which start on Monday; week 1 holds the year's first Thursday, so early January can be week 52 or 53. With Sunday first, each row takes its Monday's number.
- Shade weekends, lightly — or leave them white to save ink.
- A title of your own, with the month and year under it.
PNG of this page saves the page in view as a sharp image — 3508 × 2480 pixels for landscape A4, enough for 300 dots to the inch when printed at size — for printing from a phone or adding to a document.
Fonts and holidays
The PDF carries its own font, Noto Sans, so it prints the same from any device. That font covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic; a title in Hindi or another script cannot be drawn in it, and the page says so — the PNG uses your device's own fonts instead. Public holidays are not marked: they differ by country, state and faith, and the notes lines are there for them.
Everything is made in your browser; nothing is uploaded. To count the days between two dates, use date difference; for a repeating event, the RRULE builder.
questions
- How do I print a calendar for one month?
- Choose one month, pick the year and month, and download the PDF: one page, landscape A4 by default, with a box for every day and ruled lines for notes underneath. Open the PDF and print it at 100% (or "actual size") so the margins come out as drawn.
- Can I get the whole year?
- Yes, two ways. Every month makes a twelve-page PDF, one month to a page, to staple or put on a wall. Year on a page puts all twelve months on one sheet, three across in portrait or four across in landscape.
- Does the week start on Monday or Sunday?
- Either. Monday first is the default, as in the UK and most of Europe and in ISO weeks; switch to Sunday for the way calendars are printed in India and the US. Weekends are lightly shaded, which you can turn off to save ink.
- Which week numbers does it show?
- ISO 8601 weeks, the ones used in business and in most diaries: weeks start on Monday, and week 1 is the one with the year’s first Thursday — so 1 January can fall in week 52 or 53 of the year before. With Sunday first, each row takes the number of its Monday.
- What paper sizes are there?
- A4 (210 × 297 mm), used almost everywhere, and US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), each in portrait or landscape. The PDF is drawn at exactly that size, so it prints at true size, margins included, without scaling.
- Can I add my own title or holidays?
- A title, yes — "Exams", "Family planner" — shown above the month or year, with the date under it. The PDF’s font covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic; for a title in another script, save the PNG instead, which uses your device’s fonts. Holidays are not marked, since they differ by country, state and faith: the notes lines are there for them.
